It’s been a busy week!
Having taken some advice from the Pakistan High Commission in Birmingham, we drove down to the Pakistan Embassy in London in the hope that our visa application could be processed within the day.
However, given the nature of our visit, and in addition to the usual formalities, we have been asked to produce further information including our car registration logbook, car insurance certificate, driver’s license, a work reference letter, 3 months bank statements and the list goes on ….
Fair play, this information will be submitted tomorrow, which we understand is to be sent to the Ministry of Interior in Pakistan for their approval. We have been given a timeframe of 2-3 weeks for this.
We’re hoping that the Iranian and Indian visas are much more straightforward to obtain, as otherwise we may need to reschedule our expedition?!
Note we’ve now branded our expedition as the “London Dhaka Rally” [play on words] with a view that we can run this event annually. Next year, we’ll run it as veterans!
Whilst visas are being applied for, we’re making final preparations to our vehicle. More about this later …
